Goodbye Blue Skies

The last day of our time in Lanzarote came far faster than it should but as with the rest of the week, will linger in memory forever.

Soaking up the sun all day, trying to stretch each minute out, planning for future trips, and as the day drew thin, a final stroll to the beach.

I don't know what it is about the sea. We all flock there when we can and let the fronds lap at our feet. We all love the sound, and we can all lose ourselves just being near it. Enormous and dangerous, gentle and peaceful. Even when it's full of people, noisy people playing ball and yelling as they hit the sea for the first time, quiet people reading books and snoozing, it's still peaceful in a way other places can't be.

We ate at Quintins - we'd been there once already and saved it to last as it does beautiful food.

And back to the villa to prepare for an early finish on Thursday.

Thanks for the feedback to the Lanzarote pictures and for bearing with me while I've not commented and missed countless blipdays. I'm going to catch up but it'll take awhile :o)
