Family Reunion

Today was wonderful. For the first time in 22 months the whole family
( save two adult grandchildren) got together for a lunch at Prestonfield House Hotel.
The sun failed to oblige but nobody appeared to notice as we gathered at 12 noon for champagne and canapés before lunch at 1pm. Seb piped us in and there was much jollity as we greeted each other and the grandchildren who bore little resemblance to their former selves, so much had they grown during those missed months.

It seemed that everyone enjoyed themselves to the full. To me the best thing was watching 10 grandchildren having fun together and getting to know one another when they usually live so far apart.

It’s been a lovely day…… and I will never need to eat again!
