Light Trails
It has been a really fun day.
I met a best friend for coffee and a catch up in the morning. This was an interesting journey as the main road to our meeting point was disrupted by protesters at a milk processing plant situated along the main A41; protesters wanting the plant to only deal with plant based milk to save the planet. I'm not sure I follow their argument but it must have consumed a lot of the police force in the area and disrupted many other things plus the wastage of a huge amount of cow-produced milk which couldn't get to or from the processing plant.
This evening was the last of our camera club summer meet-ups. It has been a great summer season - probably enhanced by the fact that we hadn't been able to meet in our usual way due to Covid for the previous year. Interesting to realise that one's camera club fellow members become more than that - colleagues and friends. I'm probably biased (as Chairman) but I feel that our club is one of the 'best' with a very high standard of photography, total willingness to share knowledge, experience and skills and we're all 'normal' too.
About a dozen members gathered this evening in Wendover High Street. I suggested techniques that could be attempted or honed, such as panning (extra) and light trails. We attracted quite a lot of attention from passers by and were able to talk about our club and hand out some contact cards - so good publicity for ImageZ.
All members present seemed happy with what they had achieved and we ended the evening with a sociable drink in the Red Lion! Next meeting back at our home ground although we will continue many meetings with Zoom
