Fever pitch excitement in the village

Today marks the 20th birthday of sablieres.com, an association to promote activities in the commune.  
To start Tricia was persuaded to give a felting demonstration in the market square with other stall holders about, No stress at all...
This was followed by a two hour walk around the village with staged scenes at various places. Two hours is quite a long time but hay-ho. I'd never seen a hurdy-gurdy played before so that was a plus.
Then before the dinner, the highlight, a scarecrow competition - obvious really. We were all allowed a vote and this one above was to me the cleverest but perhaps not the scariest as it rotated in the wind. Almost cheating as the creator is a film set maker.
Dinner very much the standard sort of fare including a pork daube made by the mayor. Good company with a visitor from Lyon and a couple who own a gite opposite our house.
