Strike a Pose2

I love Crows! I toss raw peanuts out for them each morning. This one is always waiting. When the peanuts hit the ground she begins her, 'Hey everyone, the peanuts are ready! Come grab some!' vocalizations. When the others begin to arrive she swoops down for her share. I've been noticing that our bird friends have been looking somewhat ragged and rough around their edges of late. It's been a challenging summer, with lots of rain and the usual hot & humid conditions. They've been raising young, some two or three clutches perhaps, and they're ready to kick back and rest a little. Autumn, or Fall as I've always called it, will be welcome respite.
One of our Mourning Doves appears to have an injured leg, she's still able to eat from the feeder thankfully. The Cardinals are all molting and even the Turkey Vultures' feathers are looking really ragged! I'm also ready for some cooler/drier weather. In the *extra...Tufted Titmouse, female Northern Cardinal and a male Downy Woodpecker.
Wishing All a Peaceful Week.
