Quod oculus meus videt

Red Duo

We decided to pop up to Weston Park today, after seeing some lovely photographs of the formal gardens shared on social media by the head gardener.  What we weren't expecting was to see aircraft taking off and flying from the park.

Not that they were the full size versions.  This was the International model air show and included these two red arrow models.  I'd estimate they were about 3 metres long and the show they put on was really special.  The skill of the pilots was impressive as they were often flying between the mature trees in the parkland, as well as combining to create aerobatic stunts to entertain the crowd.

All in all a good day in very pleasant sunny conditions after the grey of the last week.
