Surprise

An EB, I'm afraid, but it was tasty. :-) W. bought this can in Tokeland (yes, really its name), south of Westport, Washington, when we visited the terrific old cannery and gift shop there in June. He must've been in a hurry, because he meant to buy sardines. We ate it today, and it was delicious packed with herbes de Provence and a bay leaf.

D. started the in-person portion of his internship today, which involved speaking with folks about their views...he enjoyed it but said it was daunting. I drove him to Winchester and spent 2 1/2 hours at Starbucks doing editing, no hardship.

W. drove down to Charlottesville and had a happy visit with I., who's doing well. Gave her bike a once-over and did a little shopping with her.
