Auspicious date?

If this is my mother's handwriting it's not up to her usual standard with the leaning back a bit. I couldn't find an example of the letter 'f' written by her like that but the numbers are in her style. I wondered if it might be my sister's teenage handwriting - but was it ever that tidy?
