Farewell

An emotional day!
First birthday breakfast for R and early run to St Georges for hockey with Granny Val and Richard in tow. Apt timing as this happens to be the Alma mater of my mum so she came bedecked in bloody old girl memorabilia much to daughters horror.
No spectators allowed even though my mother told them she was of the Class of ‘52 and therefore earned her position on the disallowed bench. Poor guy he had no idea who he was dealing with.
Anyway. R channelled her granny’s fighting spirit and won 4 nil.
As she headed to her Dads for party 3 I packed H up into the car with all his worldly belongings and took him through to Glasgow. Bonded over ‘which is the best Ed Sheeran album?’and laughed about life.
Party atmosphere at Murano and were pleasantly surprised with the flat. Welcoming new flatmates, one of them a pal from school football so any nerves soon disappeared. Emptied his bags and hung and folded his crumpled clothes with a wee tear in my eye.
Beer and biscuit run to Tescos and then this mother was shooed away. Nearly eighteen years and the first part of my job is done, let his adulthood begin.
