Red legged Partridge

KK off to play  football in Cumbernauld today so hubby and I took ourselves off to Skipness for a day out.

We walked a section of the Kintyre way through an estate which makes it's money from game shooting. Very few Red legged Partridge, an introduced species for shooting, in Argyll. I took the opportunity to get a few photos of them as there were so many around just waiting for the guns to arrive. Seems completely pointless to me but then that's how some men get their kicks. Finished with a coffee at the Skipness Seafood cabin which seems to have changed a bit since I was last there and was very busy with people from the South of here. On the way home we picked 1.5kg of brambles so the bramble gin is already on the go. We shall drink it at Christmas and remember this day.

Sunday dinner and we seem to have drunk the whole bottle of red wine. Now waiting for KK to arrive home home but my text said they won 14 nil so the celebrations will be good.
