Desert Squirrel

Pine tree sunrise

I'm being lazy today. I took only the Olympus XZ1 up the hill this morning, expecting that it would probably be a reasonably colourful sunrise. I should have taken the E5 with tripod. Anyway, quality is OK for web viewing. I found a good, solid fence post for support and waited for the sun to come up. I managed sharp shots as low as 1/10 sec, but this was one of the last I took.

The cloud didn't stay clear of the horizon quite long enough for the whole sky to colour, up, but I liked the delicate pinks showing behind this remnant shelter belt on the Summit Road.

It will be a busy day today, so good to get my blip up early. I will still keep a camera handy, but am not expecting to better this.
