Sylvanian scene, Majors Lake

Woke up to heavy rain and strong winds that wrecked a bit of havoc with pot plants on the patio. By 11.00am all this had passed and the sun shone out of a lovely blue sky for the rest of the day. Much fresher though. It seems like autumn came overnight!

A bit of pottering this morning, trying to coalesce lots of ideas, comments and reactions about sustainability into a draft strategy for a “sustainable railway”. We burn coal and diesel which is becoming a bit of a hot potato (to mix it up a bit) so we must demonstrate how we are offsetting this and other aspected of our organisation.

A fine walk across a golf course this afternoon, passing Majors Lake which looked resplendent in the bright afternoon sunshine.
