Life with The Pinks

It's been snowing all day here, without stopping. And today we had a friend's "spring" wedding. It did make everything very pretty and it will be a memorable day for them!

The wedding was held at an old country home with a huge marquee attached to it. It was all very pretty and Miss Pink was very pleased with the colour scheme (bright pink).

The bride looked stunning, she had a beautiful lace gown. Miss Pink fell in love with her at first sight. She followed her around most of the day and called her "the princess". She even made her a card during the meal with a picture of the bride, wearing a crown and carrying red flowers. In fact I think Miss Pink rather loved it all. She found a little friend to play with who was a similar age, and the two of them had a lovely time with playmobil that we had brought with us, drawing and blowing bubbles. And when the disco started they were the first up there doing their own version of breakdancing!
Master Pink had a great time too. He enjoyed being with "daddy's friends" and had a great time going and ordering his own drinks from the bar to the amusement of the bar man. He took lots of photos (that's my boy), and did some fantastic dancing/sliding/skidding on the dance floor!
The whole day was lovely and quite grown up, but the children did brilliantly. Apart from moaning a bit while they were waiting for their lunch (it's ok - I was hungry too!) they did fantastically well, and were still partying at 11.30 pm.
We left at midnight for a travel inn 5 minutes away by taxi. Master pink was quite excited as he'd never been in a taxi before. Miss Pink fell asleep sitting up. I shivered!
A really lovely day, we met lots of really nice people, and a good day as a family sharing some special time together.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Port. x
