Excited

The rain continued, intermittently and not as heavy. A Herculean effort was required not to pester Joshua with texts or calls but eventually he rang through mid afternoon to tell us that he had been selected for promotion to LCPL in the Royal Engineers.
He’s still only 20 and this is after only two ‘reporting periods’ or two years alongside some of his friends and fellow Sappers who made it after seven or nine years.
Very proud parents.
