Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 4 - Day 80

“Once the home of Fry’s, then Cadbury’s, the Somerdale Factory made some of the most famous chocolate bars in the world. The factory was a huge employer for the area, and the heart of the town. Today the site of the Somerdale Factory is now The Chocolate Quarter, a modern retirement complex managed by St Monica’s Trust and containing community facilities including a doctor’s surgery, barbers and restaurants.”

A beautiful autumn afternoon for a walk with my friend B, through the park to the Chocolate Quarter cafe, where we sat out, enjoying the sunshine and putting the world to rights.

The rest of the day was spent reorganising and cancelling medical and other appointments; hopefully MRI, Optometry, flu jab, COVID booster, hairdresser and doctor appointments for the olds are all sorted now, unless the hospital cancels for the third time, and everything needs to be rearranged, again! Also had to collect new meds for Toffee. Her blood tests were normal which doesn’t explain why she is still losing weight. If these new meds don’t work, things become very serious. While out, I also picked up some Halloween crumpets and cakes, and four more boxes of Mince Pies! Oh, and I ate tomatoes numbers 96-99!

Take care, stay safe and well...
