Ice cream

Todays activities were mostly planned around the locks at Fort Augustus - five in a row taking an hour, plus waiting around time for your slot to do that.

After some morning board games and building competitions we boated along a bit and ended up mooring after Kytra Lock for a pre-lunch bike ride. We went one way and joined up with where we started one previous ride, then back the other way and joined up with where we ended a different ride. So over several days we have biked the full length from Fort Augustus to Laggan Locks (and back).

Arriving at Fort Augustus our slot was still an hour off so we went in a few tourist shops and got a holiday ice cream.

The locking went fine then we moored up just beyond that for the night.

We all had a shower at the canal facilities, then we went out to a Chinese restaurant for our dinner.

CyclopsJnr was tired out by the end of all that.
