Goat Siesta

The view from my bedroom is of St Boniface Down which at 241 metres is the highest point on the Isle of Wight. It took 10 mins to walk to the base and about 40 mins to climb, sometimes on my hands and knees!! I wanted to find the goats who the National Trust have placed there, together with some cattle, to graze to stop the Holm Oaks from spreading too much and therefore to allow the grassland plants to flourish. Last Thursday the goats had their annual round up to be checked by a vet before being released back to their lovely habitat.
