Almost the end of the season

We were in Kames today for lunch.

The last time I was here at lunchtime the tourist season was just starting after a long lockdown and it was buzzing.

Today , with low cloud obscuring the Kyles of Bute and a fourth day of persistent rain the place was nearly empty , which was perhaps also to be expected given that the end of October is in sight.
