"The Scales Have Fallen From His Eyes"

Well not quite as dramatically as in the case of Saul of Tarsus but I took MrQ for another injection to combat his wet age-related macular degeneration this morning. He's always a bit sore afterwards but at least the treatment is preserving the sight in his good eye. It's a bit of a mystery what the biblical scales were.

Lovely and sunny today so the grape vine wasps were joined by red admirals. I enjoyed trying to take different butterfly pics. My main image shows the scales on a red admiral's wing in the region where there are a few blue ones. The insect is on the yellow centre of a Paddy's Pride ivy leaf, which is also appropriately known as Sulphur Heart. In extras the flurry as one took off spooked by a wasp.
