Blairgowrie

We're off to near Alyth for a few nights with friends. This isn't an area I know well though we did have a couple of days based in Blairgowrie in 2016. It's a lovely rural, agricultural part of the world. I think most people tend to head for Highland Perthshire at this time of year for the beautiful autumn colours. East Perthshire isn't doing too badly in that department either though I think we are a week or two early.

After a very early lunch at Gloagburn, just south of Perth, we carried on to Blairgowrie for a wander along the River Ericht, as blipped. We're intending to rendezvous with our friends at about 15:00 when we can get into the holiday house. It's a barn conversion with tons of room. We should be able to ventilate it well and with negative lateral flow tests under our belts we're all set to go.
