A Day In The Life

Deputy Downy discovered an open door on the suet feeder today. The latch was broken and a full cake of suet was missing. He was careful not to touch anything in case forensics could lift any prints. It was a metal feeder which is a viable surface but it had been raining through the night meaning any evidence was likely washed away. He deduced the culprit or culprits raided the place when it was dark but he noted a street lamp directly across the road. Perhaps an insomniac walked or drove by and noticed something. It would be important to knock on some doors and interview the neighbors next. One of them could have noted something going on across the street but passed it off as nothing. The Deputy also did a quick search underneath looking for footprints or any leftover suet on the ground, but it was as clean as a whistle too. All the rain and wind would make it challenging to crack the case but Deputy Downy was already formulating a prime suspect • How about you, would you like to share any ideas on who you think the perp is?
