Escape

Our Ramblers walk on Wednesday - previously mentioned once or twice on this journal - went off without a hitch. Twenty-two of us enjoyed the delights of Tullibody and Cambus, including skirting a golf course and, later on, the River Forth. Even if the post-Ramble coffee stop was rather busy when we arrived and it took us a few minutes before everyone was able to find a seat.

The real bonus of the day was being able to complete the walk in dry weather. There was a bit of a shower starting as we left the coffee shop to make our way home, but within the hour and for the rest of the day and night it was utterly torrential. A lucky escape for us!

(Not so for me as I had a course to attend in Glasgow that evening and it was a most unpleasant journey, what with the weather, road closures, roadworks and heavy traffic heading for a football match. Made it with five minutes to spare, having left about twenty minutes earlier than usual just in case. Next week we are meeting on Zoom!)
