November Afternoon

There was a distinct chill in the air today and a breeze enhancing it. With the crisp weather, it's beginning to really feel like November. The sun sets so early and then  it will be even chillier. Merry is not happy about the piazza being so cold, she misses her time out there, but she needs warmth.

I met one of my camp friends this morning and we chatted forever after a big, big hug. Five of us old Camp Kiwanee pals have had a daily text exchange for the last 19 months. It's been one of the positives of the pandemic. We love our 50 year plus connections. Today, we planned to meet at an outdoor farm stand, do some catching up and then some shopping. It turned out that they had closed out their seasonal veggie selling and were full swing into Christmas baskets and other seasonal greenery. So, I braved the noontime rush at a local Whole Foods on the way home. It wasn't crowded, but wait until the Thanksgiving feast shoppers are out in full force next week.

For the Record,
This day came in chilly and has stayed that way.

All hands still wary.
