Buckled

The force of Storm Arwen was clearly felt down on the beach - one of the groynes was twisted out of shape, as well as losing around a metre of the sand around it. See the extra - usually you can simply step over a single plank of wood in the gap between the prom wall and the first upright. Today you would have to climb over it. Our tenement lost a significant chunk of roof yesterday evening - roofing felt from the central flat section, along with some attached flashing round the edges. It crashed down into the street, bouncing off the turret roof of the corner flat in the tenement opposite on the way down. Fortunately there was no one down on the street as people were largely heeding the weather warning and staying inside. I heard today that one of our neighbours, returning home, was actually scarily close to it when it came down. The fire brigade turned up promptly to move the debris and it took eight of them to drag it off the road.
