Towards Seefin

The sun finally burst through this afternoon and we headed out for a gentle pootle, son#1 recovering but not the full shilling. We went down to Kilcrohane but the easterly wind was so strong we could hardly open the door of the car. We decided the north side might be more promising so wend our way over the mountain to the Goat's Path. This is the top - if you follow that little beaten track it takes you to the top of Seefin Mountain, the highest peak on the Sheep's Head - not recommended today for you'd be skyborne in no time. I love the bleakness of this and the muted colours. Onwards to Gortnakilla where the waves were mighty and the sea the colour of turquoise but my blips awful as I'd inadvertently changed a setting on my camera and everything came out too small. Doh.

The curry is now simmering and a catch up of Game of Thrones is required apparently, before we get immersed in series 3.

Son 2 has just bought a new van - yikes!
