Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Peter Piper picked a peck of Pickle.....

Up bright and early with the girls today. Isobel had her magnetic letters to make 3 letter words with big we realised she could make Pickle's name too as there were no repeated letters. Apart from needing help with the two 'k' sounds she worked it out herself. They love Pickle, she's such a gentle and affectionate cat.
We headed back to our house and found great nana having breakfast. It was ridiculously warm today, over 10°, so the girls headed out into the garden. Eilidh practising her stilt walking and managing to go all the way around the lawn straight away. She was very proud of herself. Isobel on the other hand found all the kitchen toys in the garage and brought them out to play with serving us with lunch!
Ali popped round with Josie to pick something up much to the delight of the cousins. Isobel spent the time before they arrived making sure that the moses basket had a blanket laid out and that there was a toy for Josie. She was so excited, she's much more of a house play child than Eilidh who was happy enough to see Josie. I guess Eilidh had had her own little sister so perhaps a baby is not quite such a novelty as it is for Isobel. They both did some cooing and baby talk when she arrived though. Lovely to watch.
This afternoon the two girls headed off with Colin to the local park where they got rid of some energy
I got the first batch of Christmas cards written and posted thank goodness. The A's to H's can breathe again.
I'm back round at Katy's overnight tonight and taking the girls to school tomorrow. I'll probably go home to bed afterwards.
Keep safe folks, I'm finding it hard to face the fact that yet again Christmas is under threat.
