Helmesley Castle

A historical day today
Morning at Helmesley Castle doing the audio tour - much more to the castle than we had realised - and afternoon at Rievaulx Abbey - very impressive.
Still cold but the sun was out a lot of the time.
Unfortnuately some of the party have had a bug and so couldn't come and so some of the rest went back early whilst Mr Rat went for a run on the moors and I walked and took pics (too windy for me to run uphill against it and I was suffering a mild dose of the bug).
