Fungi

I'm moving much less gingerly today, thank you.  I was trying to be humerous, but it fell rather flat.

A trip to the garden centre this morning for some bird food as I've ordered a squirrel-proof ground feeder and want to be prepared.  The albino squirrel is venturing further into the parkland behind our house but as yet hasn't come into the garden.

This afternoon JJ and I had a slippery walk around the wood and it may be winter but I did enjoy the balmy weather.  

Unfortunately another of the chestnut trees on the avenue is sprouting fungi, which means it will have to be felled.  This image is an abstract of one of the clumps of fungi.
