Last day of the year

It seems only a few days ago that I sat at the computer and posted my first blip. That was on New Years Day, 365 days ago. My photo then was of a Little Pied Cormorant in a casuarina tree nearby. My photo today is also of a Little Pied Cormorant in the same tree. Could it be the self same bird? Maybe not, though I'd like to think there is a chance. The tree has not had a good year. It died. The local Council trimmed it and left the main trunk standing. As a place for the resident cormorant to perch and preen. Happy New Year to it, and to all.
