New Lamb

We ventured out to the Penicuik House Estate this afternoon although the weather was somewhat dull and grey with a chill wind.

First we reacquainted ourselves with the Lost Garden, where great progress has been made clearing the site since we last were there and seed planting under way, then we took a peak at the High Pond, with its Canada geese and goosanders, to the sound of woodpecker drumming. When heading off to the Low Pond, hoping to see frogs in abundance, we passed through the field of sheep, some very pregnant, three lambs already born, including this sweetie belonging to a Jacob mum.

What better blip to represent a Spring day.
