Going Home

This is one of my favourite views, slightly enhanced here, of the lane from Yeovil to our village.  The foggy conditions led to my replacing the sky as it was blank and grey, but the lane and the hills beyond are typical Dorset, the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

I had been to Yeovil to buy thornproof gloves: tomorrow we plant the hedge "whips" that have arrived from a tree nursery, the next stage in refreshing the ancient hedge at the bottom of our garden.  But at least half of the whips are thick with nasty-looking thorns and Mrs B has directed that I be the one to plant them . . .
