Putting your foot in it

Still and dry today, but being a low energy morning I didn't go out for a walk.

After lunch we took Susie the cat down to the vet for a check-up - she's got a problem with one of her front legs. She's been limping a bit for a while and takes enormous care when getting down from a chair - a very gradual slide down to avoid having to jump, I suppose.

The vet suggested it was probably arthritis, though it was hard to be sure - and Susie's not the easiest of patients. We've got some liquid medication to try.

Realised once we'd got home that I hadn't taken a Blip - the cat took preference today!  I decided to snap this book as an EB even though the light was going, but at that moment Susie came up for a sniff and it was a now or never shot, before I had time to adjust the ISO. So with a 1/4 second exposure she's not quite as sharp as I would have liked.

This is a very amusing book which throughout the volumes of info about history, geography, music, politics, war and many other subjects, is peppered with quotes, mostly from politicians or other public figures. With most of them it's a case of opening their mouths and putting their feet in them! So here's the first 'foot-in-mouth' Quote of the day'!

"No one would go to Hitler’s funeral if he was alive today". Labour MP Ron Brown.
