Wound up in Wexford

Stained glass

A lovely bit of stained glass in the front door of the solicitors' office in Waterford City.  Photographed from the waiting room.

We had a meeting, and found her pleasant and helpful.  But I'm having some difficulty adapting - it seems conveyancing is a little more casual and laid back in Ireland.  Which is quite nice, but when you're spending a good chunk of money on a house, it would be nice to know that they've covered all bases and made sure you're not being taken for a ride.

Afterwards, we went for lunch and spent some time filling in some forms.  And visited a bookshop, where we picked up a rather nice book of wildlife walks in Waterford County - look forward to trying some of these in the summer.

And we investigated the Waterford Tesco, finding crumpets (not really a thing in Ireland, it would seem) and oat milk - though not our favoured brand.

Drove back to our cottage as the sun was setting - lovely pink sky, so hoping for more good weather tomorrow.
