(019) Parallax

I took the big zoom along to Lower Largo this afternoon and caught some wonderful light over Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills. The view is quite different to that from only a few miles back along the coast with Inchkeith island moving in front of the Pentlands as well as stretching out to its full length. The main shot is a pano-stitch of three images taken at 600mm with Arthurs Seat just visible on the left of the image and Edinburgh castle appearing just behind the south end of the island. The extra shot is a crop from a 600mm frame showing the spires of St.Mary's cathedral rising above the silhouette of Inchkeith.
