Presentation to Class

and examining tutor today

We could choose our own subject and there was huge variety and all very interesting. I learnt about Japanese anime, Tottenham Hotspur, Wes Anderson, the Director as Auteur, Marvel City, Netflix’s ‘Community’ and many more.

We had to use PowerPoint, address the audience, speak clearly and enunciate well. We also had to dress smartly.

This was a very good exercise for young people going into the workplace where they might have to give a presentation or as they say in the film world ‘make a pitch’.

I chose to talk about the painting called The Taking of Christ’ by Caravaggio which hangs in the National Gallery of Ireland. I traced its interesting history from Rome to Scotland to Ireland and it’s adventures on the way .

I enjoyed putting the presentation together and I feel I delivered it well. But we shall see what mark I get.

The weather was lovely in Dublin today and I had my swim at lunchtime.

I had a chicken curry for tea and am watching Toy Story 3

I am exhausted. Public speaking is a bit nerve wracking
