Blossom , wind and rain

Finally this magnificent old tree shows its blossom and now we're having rain and wind for the next few days. Today was possibly the only chance to take this shot and still have some blossom. Even though it was raining and dull the tree still looks wonderful.
It's an ornamental Japanese cherry tree and we think it's about 40 years old which is very old for this kind of tree. Every year we think it will be the last but like the Energiser bunny it keeps going and going.
