In passing

Under the scaffold

I woke up in Long island when sunlight was mellow. The day stayed that way. The light was pale like grass and buds were barely there on branches. I wanted a bit more tennis and was disappointed when there wasn't enough, but a talk with my best friend settled the mood back into laughter as it had been this weekend.

Evening was all waltzes along empty Sunday streets that a sunset filled like a surprise.
