White Flower

BB had his first rugby match in months.  It was back to Prestonpans for 9am.  We were first there – which is very unusual.  His team mates weren’t too far behind us.  A friend and I headed off for a walk, while the boys were training/warming up,.  We re-traced some of my steps from yesterday, walking along to Cockenzie. It was windy, and we had the wind behind us.  When we turned round we struggled to move.  The wind was so strong, we were bent over, holding onto our hats.  We walked away from the front in search of some shelter and got back to the pitch just as the game was about to start.  They didn’t win, but they put up a good game and BB scored a try – so he was happy. We were both frozen when we got home and took ages to warm up.

Once I had the heating on, I then put the oven on and baked a lemon drizzle cake – which I have been meaning to do all week.  TT appeared home from church with some supplies for lunch.  Later I headed out in the horrid weather to meet a couple of friends for a cuppa and a catch up in  a local café.  We were practically thrown out when the café was closing!  It was a lovely way to spend such a foul afternoon – cosy in a café with good company and cake!

I got home just in time to watch the rugby – what a game,  It all got too stressful – but the right team won in the end.  TT was cooking, but kept popping through to see what was happening – he was of course supporting the opposition.  BB was meant to be writing an essay, and couldn’t settle to his essay or the rugby – was pleased when Scotland did eventually win.

Tea was another delicious effort from TT – using his Spicery spice kits.  That was a good Christmas present!  Later we watched Hidden Assets.

I think this is possibly some kind of early flowering clematis.
