Corona Virus Update
Bahrain recorded 7,853 new cases, 1 fatality and 4,001 recoveries today.

Bahrain as of yesterday recorded 390,602 cased, including 52,018 active cases, 337,175 recoveries and 1,409 fatalities.
A second booster dose has been approved for those aged 60 and above as well as front-line medical workers.
The second booster is not mandatory and  those who elect not to take it will retain their green shield status in the BeAware mobile application

TRAVEL PROTOCOL UPDATE: Passengers do not need to present PCR certificates before flying to the kingdom

PCR tests are still to be taken upon arrival and precautionary quarantine for those who are not vaccinated.

Foreign vaccinated backpackers and some skilled workers will be allowed into the country beginning March 13, while New Zealand will allow up to 5,000 international students to enter from April 12.

A country of five million people, New Zealand has had about 17,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases so far and just 53 deaths.
