Bursting forth

The mini daffodils are bursting forth. None were out two days ago, but they're all racing skywards now to get their faces into the sunshine. All 3 to 4 inches of them....that's 8-11 cm in new money...

I will admit - A little jiggery pokery has been applied to the image.
Initial processing in LR, a mono layer created in Silver Efex Pro with the yellow filter applied and then both colour and mono images loaded in layers into PS and the mono layer applied as an overlay to the colour layer bringing out the deep intense colours throughout the image while providing contrast. Don't know why, but it works - I hope!

Edit - I suggest viewing large on the black background for full dramatic effect.
