The lone tree, Malham

After a fabulous full "Yorkshire" breakfast,  we walked through to Goredale Scar, which looked extremely impressive after yesterday's rain. Then drove up to the lone tree on the pavement. The winds were very strong, but the tripods did their jobs well.

Main pic is a big stopper (10-stop) as the clouds were moving towards us, and I wanted to show the movement in the clouds. The extra is taken from the other side of the tree (not easy to walk over the pavement in high winds) but interpreted as a split-toned Black & white - and I remember split-toning selenium in the darkroom 20 years ago - I can now do it in LR, it doesn't take as long.

A great mini-break, and Stevie the cat was very pleased to see us home late afternoon.
