Hochzeitsturm

The Hochzeitsturm (wedding tower) in Darmstadt is also known as the Five-Finger-Tower (Fünffingerturm). The tower is located in Darmstadt's Artists' Colony on the Mathildenhöhe. A lot of Jugendstil can be found here.
The tower was built in 1908 as a presence, remembering the marriage between two nobles. The five arches on the top look a bit like the five fingers of a hand, hence the alias.
My extra shows the Russian chapel, also located on the same hill, built 10 years before the wedding tower. A real beauty!
