Signature

It began to snow when I was out this afternoon and with the wind blowing it sideways. It's hard to capture that fine snow, at best it makes the view kind of misty. Especially so when the light gets low and you want a narrow aperture for depth of field. At least with this scene, sharpness doesn't matter.

The few reeds left standing by now are bent this way and that, making marks on the snow like a signature across white paper. I liked the contrast of solid foreground against the pattern of ice shapes higher in the frame. There is that one reed, middle right, that stands out which seems to be a counterpoint anchoring the image.
