Artificial I know

Another in the series of recent blips attempting to add some lightness. Lightness and joy is sadly lacking in many areas including the weather down here in the sub-tropical south where it was well below dismal.

Doreen had one of her regular eye appointments at the hospital this morning. It needs two really to get her into and out of the car and plenty of time too. From there we went to a garden centre in Tunbridge Wells for lunch and a mosey around the plants, furniture and knick-knacks that garden centres have.

The was a long slow queue for food alleviated by an extensive display of artificial flowers and greenery which brightened the place up. I had jacket potato with cheese costing £6.95, when it came the potato was the size of an eating apple. To their credit, when asked, they did bring a couple more. My understanding of a jacket spud is BIG! With a crispy jacket.

By the time we delivered Doreen back to the care home it was late afternoon and bitter. Which made for a brisk walk before tonight’s Saturday night traditions.
