Wandering

We were mostly wandering around the local graveyard, this was just a small detour to look at the nearby, posh allotments.
Nice to get some sunshine!
The day started disappointingly when my defrosted yeast had more or less given up the ghost. Mind you I don’t blame it, it was in the freezer for a couple of years! I wanted it for the Pain de Compagne that I’d decided to bake but have had to make do with the dried stuff instead. It’s a bit of a faff making these loaves, started them about 12 hours ago, which is probably why I don’t make them very often. The first is coming out the oven now and looking good though so maybe it’ll be worth it.
