I had my first "jobseekers allowance" interview today...
Title and first line are in no way a reflection no one another ;-)
Actually I shouldn't be so harsh as the process was efficient, if a little soulless, and it can't be the easiest job to do, even in a swanky revamped jobcentre with pleasant sofas, a "meeter-greeter" and a relatively relaxed atmosphere. The giveaways were the two burly security guards casually strolling about the place...
In related news, I got an email today asking when I might be available to interview for a post, so hopefully the above service won't be required for too long...
Rhubarb from the garden at home was duly stewed to a pulp (and that's not a metaphor for anything either!) for consumption over the next few days.
