Art Exhibition at SMAC

I attended an opening at the Stone Mountain Art Center near me to see the latest work of Octavia Bishop, a local painter and muralist.  Her work is whimsical and colorful, and this is my favorite piece.  It is Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter stories and is based on Victoria Street in the Grassmarket district in Edinburgh which is said to have been J.K. Rowling's inspiration.  I will be staying in Edinburgh for a few days on my trip to Scotland in May and I will be sure to visit it.  A mild, rainy week ahead I am happy to say.
