Yellowhammers

A pair of yellowhammers visited our front garden today to feed under the bird-feeders. It is the first time we have seen them in the garden although they can often be seen and heard on the walls of the fields around us.
It has been bright and sunny for most of the day and warm when in the sun and out of the wind. When the sun disappears and in the wind it feels very cold, so on our walk this morning we fluctuated between feeling hot and then needing to cover up again.
