Scheveningen

We went to Scheveningen beach today, here in The Hague. It was a blue-sky day but really cold. Still, lots of people braved the chill and made the most of the sunshine and the dry day.
The pier was busy, as was the promenade but the beach itself was rather quiet. There were lots of ships and sailing boats on the horizon.
We like dogs, so we walked along the section of beach where dogs are allowed in the hope that one or two might come and say hello. It's quite entertaining watching the dogs having so much fun.
Many of the seasonal beach huts containing bars and restaurants have re-opened, so we popped in to one for some lunch, enjoying the momentary warmth.
The Big Wheel was on the go and some brave souls took the plunge on the Bungee at the end of the pier.
There are still big mounds of sand along the beach which were built up as a defence against the storms the past weeks.
