A Birthday Tribute. Leitz Summicron 35mm V4

When I renovated my workshop/study some weeks back, I set aside a section of wall to hang a pair of treasured photographs of my parents.  Today, had he lived to that Methuselah-esque age, my father would have turned 109.  The upper photograph is from about 1947, when my parents were newly wed, young and beautiful,  WW2 over, and their lives stretching before them.
The lower portrait of Dad was taken by my late brother, a gifted photographer, in about 1972.  In that Augenblick, he captured a rare moment of contentment, perhaps even pride and a little joy for us to remember our father by.
